Skyscraper of the month

Burj Al Arab, Dubai, UAE

Community pexels apasaric 2044434

Rising 321 meters above the Persian Gulf, the Burj Al Arab stands on its own artificial island, 280 meters offshore from Dubai’s coastline. Designed to resemble the sail of an Arabian dhow, this structure features a 180-meter-tall atrium flanked by golden columns. Inside, all 199 suites are adorned with opulent details, including gold-plated interiors. While often dubbed the world’s only “seven-star” hotel, this title is unofficial; the hotel itself has never claimed it.
